Distributed Generation (“DG”) system developed on-site to supplement or replace traditional grid power in order to meet real estate power requirements. If a traditional grid utility provider cannot provide sufficient power – or it is too expensive or delayed to bring to the site – onsite DG systems can satisfy owner and tenant requirements from 1 MW to 100 MW+.
Rooftop solar photovoltaic (“PV”) panels capture the sun's rays and generate electrical energy to power the building. Solar electrical energy can also be used to provide zero-carbon heating and cooling, when coupled with companion technologies.
Geothermal systems use the stable temperature of the ground below buildings as a thermal battery, providing clean zero-carbon heating in the winter and cooling in the summer for towers as large as 60-storeys+.
Proven and existing technologies can be leveraged to generate electrical and thermal energy on-site, replacing dependence on the grid with energy independence for the building owner and its tenants.
